Child Rows not Expanding

Hello.

I'm trying to use child rows (as seen here: http://www.datatables.net/examples/api/row_details.html). I have my table rendering properly and the expand/open button showing up just like the example. However, clicking on this button does nothing. Everything else with the table and my page seems to be working fine. I've copied the code from the example and have the right dependencies (i.e., jquery, jquery.datatables). Any ideas where I can start looking for the problem?
