searchPanes: Browser gets unresponsive on ajax.reload() with selected values in searchPane

Description of problem: with cascadePanes = true the browser gets unresponsive on ajax.reload() for about 2 seconds, even with a small data set. With larger data sets Chrome sometimes shows that the page gets unresponsive with hangs larger than 10 seconds.
Additionally you can't unset the filters after being programatically selected, even clicking "Clear All" does not reset the filtered values in the table.
