Display message after save is complete

I have been looking into adding a message to let the user know that the file has been saved successfully and I have not been able to accomplish this as of yet. I tried adding in an alert box into the actionscript file as well as trying to tie it to a event in the javascript file. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on a good way to implement this. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
